Our school is fortunate to have a 24 place nursery for children aged 3 – 5 years. We offer 15 hours free education and care to all children from the term after their 3rd birthday and up to 30 hours free education and care to those children who are eligible.

The nursery is a separate unit with its own sheltered and secure grounds. However the nursery children do use the school facilities to aid the transition to full time school. In addition the children take part in school performances at Harvest Festival, Christmas and Easter. Play facilities are plentiful and varied.

Outside we have a climbing frame and trim trail in addition to our sandpits, wheeled toys and role play area. A recent addition is our den building area. Inside is bright and welcoming with areas for creative play, role play, construction and ICT. Staff work hard to provide simultaneous access to indoor and outdoor learning environments.

Children are encouraged to share and take turns, to care for their own and other people’s property, and to become increasingly independent in their environment. At the end of their time in nursery the children are happy and well prepared to move to full time schooling. If you would like to find out more about our nursery please contact Mrs Kaye, our office manager, to arrange a visit. Our admissions policy is at the end of the Headteacher’s welcome page.
